War Again

It seems we’re going to war again. What a mess. A number of things occur to me:
1. The Assad regime has been torturing and killing folk for decades. Does it really matter what weapons they employ?
2. If we fight Al Qaeda’s enemies, do we become Al Qaeda’s allies?
3. Is more violence likely to solve anything?
4. If Syria had significant oil reserves, would we be calling their chemical weapons “weapons of mass destruction”?

  1. It’s very distressing, doesn’t matter how you flip it. You should see the papers here. One can hardly look. By the way, you’re getting a nice, new following. Happy for you Mick.

The Labour Party and some back benchers have forced Cameron to back down for the time being. It seems that we will at least wait until the weapons inspectors report.

  2. Arkenaten says:

“Cry ‘Havoc,’ and let slip the dogs of war;”
And the Midden will hit the windmill, once again.

  3. It’s all a big game of monopoly. And that’s about all I’ll say about that. Sorry…

I will be pleased to read your thoughts, even if you don't agree.
